NAFM a manufacturer of contract sleeving and contract shrink labeling equipment participated in the 2009 PMMI packaging Expo in Las Vegas this past week.  Despite continued reports of a gloomy economy, NAFM saw an increase in traffic and a dramatic increase in customers looking for cost effective ways to increase contract sleeving and contract shrink labeling output and quality.  NAFM met with many customers who expressed the need to continue to look for ways to reduce labor costs and also find ways to get new products off the drawing board and on to the store floor efficiently and with the high level of quality their customers demand.  NAFM showcased their newest machinery the LX-500 which is a high speed machine built for 24-hour operation even in the harshest environment. Its heavy-duty frame provides a stable base for fast and accurate label placement.  Nominal running speed is 500cpm for 6″ tall containers. The follower Motion Control System (MCS) effectively reaches label placement efficiency of 99.5%.  NAFM also demonstrated the LX-200, an entry level machine built for low to moderate production rates. It is ideal for packaging lines with limited space.
